HEALICS

Heterogeneity of critical illness: exploring new risk factors for severity of disease in intensive care patients

Description

The biobank includes samples of acutely admitted patients in need of Intensive Care treatment to gain insight in multiple organ failure and prognostic factors for survival. HEALICS was initiated to better understand how patient heterogeneity influences organ failure and the outcome of patients including health-related quality of life and daily functioning.
