Pulmolines - Severe COPD databank

Pulmolines - Severe COPD databank

Description

University Medical Center Groningen is a center of expertise for severe COPD. Each year, approximately 250 patients with severe COPD are referred for a second opinion on bronchoscopic intervention or respiratory failure. These visits typically include pulmonary function testing, a six-minute walk test, thoracic CT imaging, blood sampling, quality-of-life questionnaires, and documentation of medical history and medication use. The aim of the database is to collect these data. Data from this unique population will contribute to research on the clinical phenotyping of severe COPD and support the improvement and further development of treatments for this patient group.
